This is a plan formulated by companies to improve the employment environment to support the balance between work and family life of workers raising children and to provide diverse working conditions, including those for workers who are not raising children.
~What is the Next Generation Nurturing Support Measures Promotion Act?
It was established to clarify the responsibilities of the national government, local governments, employers, and citizens in order to create an environment in which the next generation of children can be born and grow up healthy, and to work intensively and systematically over a 10-year period from April 1, 2005. The statutory period was extended for 10 years (until 2025) from April 2015.
~The Law Concerning the Promotion of Women’s Work Activities (Law for the Promotion of Women’s Work Activities)
In order to realize a society in which women can fully demonstrate their individuality and abilities, the Act stipulates the responsibilities of the national government, local governments, and private business owners (general business owners) regarding the promotion of women’s activities, and came into effect on April 1, 2016.
