At “OCEAN SPA Fuua,” we will be renovating the panoramic sauna in the bathing area under the supervision of Ms. Misato Shimizu. Construction will begin on Monday, September 28, and is scheduled for completion in mid-December 2026.The specific reopening date will be announced at a later time.
In addition, in conjunction with the renovation of the panoramic sauna, we will be introducing new offerings to further enrich your sauna experience, including “sauna meals” (sa-meshi) perfect for after a sauna session, beverages, and merchandise.

About the Renovation of the Panoramic Sauna

In our panoramic sauna, where you can enjoy a refreshing sweat while taking in views of the ocean and sky, you’ll experience the kind of relaxation unique to a seaside resort.While the current panoramic sauna is set to a temperature that allows you to warm up gradually and at a leisurely pace (approximately 45°C), this renovation will raise the temperature (to approximately 70–90°C), offering a sauna experience unlike any you’ve had before.The design and ambiance of the panoramic sauna were supervised by Misato Shimizu. In addition to the breathtaking ocean views—which have been well-received—we are renovating the sauna to increase the temperature, allowing you to experience even more intense sweating and a greater sense of refreshment than ever before.
Due to renovation work on the Panoramic Sauna, it will be closed from Monday, September 28, 2026, until its reopening in mid-December.Additionally, the free-flowing open-air bath within the bathing area will be temporarily closed from Monday, September 28, 2026, through Friday, October 16, 2026.

[Regarding Price Changes After the Grand Reopening]
Starting on the day of the grand reopening, we will be adjusting the surcharge for weekends, holidays, and specific dates: for adults (junior high school students and older), the fee will increase from 330 yen to 550 yen, and for children (ages 4 to elementary school students), the fee will increase from 220 yen to 440 yen.

Due to a revision of the surcharge rates, the rates for weekends, holidays, and specific dates will be as follows.

*A separate bath tax (150 yen per adult) applies.

About Misato Shimizu

A sauna enthusiast who has been going to the sauna almost every day since the age of 18, she has served as the poster model for “Sauna Iki Tai,” Japan’s largest sauna search site, as well as the “Nonaru Sa-Meshi Ambassador” for Suntory and the “Pocari Bath Project Special Supporter” for Otsuka Pharmaceutical.She is currently active in a wide range of fields, including radio shows, magazine columns, and books about saunas!
